VESRAH SUZUKI WINS SUMMIT POINT 6 HOUR
Vesrah Suzuki won the seventh round of the WERA National Endurance Series at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. The six hour long race was a challenge for all the teams. The unique combination of a very long, fast, front straightaway and tight, twisty, corners gave many riders and teams setup and riding challenges. There was also a pavement problem this year at Summit Point, which made the 6 hour long race interesting and difficult to strategize.
Tray Batey started the race and traded back and forth with teammate John Jacobi throughout the event. Both riders did a perfect job and secured a 2 lap lead by the end of the 6 hour race.
The race ended with another Vesrah Suzuki victory allowing the team to extend their series points lead with only two events remaining in the 2008 season.
The next round is at Barber Motorsports Park just outside Birmingham, Alabama.
