"Your school did more to instill confidence in my new abilities than anything else I could have done." - Student

My primary goal is to become a better street rider but I’ve never been on the racetrack, let alone raced. I’m concerned as to whether I fit?

Our 2-Day course offers a comprehensive corner-by- corner look at the 2.54-mile Road Atlanta course to specifically detail reference points, cornering lines and shift points on every section of racetrack. We take an in-depth look at body positioning, braking more effectively and building confidence at increased lean angles. In addition to on-bike video instruction and classroom review to enhance the student’s learning experience, Kevin takes students on a track walk to show you the reference points close-up. In addition to the catered lunches, drinks and snacks provided each day; students are also treated to a dinner of bench racing with Kevin and the KSSS staff at Kevin’s favorite local Mexican restaurant the evening of the first day. The 2008 2-Day school – including a KSSS t-shirt, Motul product package, photo CD, riding DVD, and use of our 2007 or 2008 Suzuki GSX-R600s and SV650s – is priced at $1,800. Students who wish to bring their own Suzuki, $1,400.

Our 3-Day World Champion’s Package is the premium-level Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School experience. It begins with a Thursday evening arrival reception at Road Atlanta where you will be greeted by Schwantz and his all-star staff of instructors. This relaxed, casual gathering sets the tone for three days of total immersion into the fun, comradery and exciting learning experience of KSSS. Extensive use of in-class video training allows students to better absorb all that KSSS has to offer. Friday evening we will have dinner at Kevin’s favorite local Mexican restaurant for a casual evening of dining and benchracing with Kevin and his staff. After a full day of fun at Road Atlanta on Saturday beginning with a track walk with Kevin, you will receive a special treat in the form of the Schwantz family BBQ. During Kevin’s Grand Prix career, the paddock would all converge on the Schwantz motorhome to enjoy father Jim and mother Shirley’s Texas BBQ’s that became world famous. After you’ve slept off Saturday evening’s feast, the third and final day of classroom and track time lets everything come together where students find themselves riding better than they’ve ever ridden in their lives. Take advantage of our limited-availability 3-Day World Champion’s Package and enjoy the maximum Schwantz experience, priced at $2,900 including use of a 2007 or 2008 Suzuki.

Kevin Schwantz burned brightly on the Grand Prix scene and now he can enlighten your riding. He may not make you a world champion (but then again, who knows, maybe he will) but he certainly will pass along a lot of the skills and knowledge that he developed over his career as a world-class rider. Kevin instructs in the classroom and rides at every school. The Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School is designed for riders of virtually all ability levels. Whether you’re a recent learner with just a year or more of riding experience or you’re already an accomplished racer, the Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School can teach you the skills to become a more confident, safer and faster rider.

By limiting our class size to no more than 34 students, the Kevin Schwantz Suzuki School isn’t the most widely attended school in the country, but it’s part of what makes us the best. Going a step further, we split our classes into two groups. Students learn at a pace that matches their ability and comfort levels, both in the classroom and on the Road Atlanta road course. It also allows our six on-track instructors (some with famous names like Tray Batey, Lee Acree, Michael Martin and Opie Caylor, among others) an unmatched three-to-one student-to-instructor ratio; which insures that you get plenty of one-on-one track instruction under the watchful eyes of our helpful instructors. As an additional learning incentive, we have the Michelin Most Improved Student Award, which awards the most improved student of each class a new set of Michelin motorcycle tires of their choice and runner-up awards of Yoshimura team jackets, AFAM Chain Kit, and Pit Bull race stands at most schools. Continuing with our safety partner program, a Dainese Wave Back Protector will be awarded to the Dainese Safest Student at every school.

Our classroom lecture sessions, conducted by Kevin and his Chief Instructor, cover points such as:

  • Visual awareness and concentration
  • Body position and steering technique
  • Cornering lines and reference points
  • Gear selection and shifting technique
  • Braking technique
  • Staying smooth and controlling panic
