Team Vesrah Suzuki Wins First 3 Races of the Season

Team Vesrah Suzuki riders Tray Batey, Mark Junge, Lee Acree, John Jacobi and Chris Ulrich teamed up to win the first 3 races of the season.

The first race was in Savannah, GA at Roebling Road Raceway. Vesrah Suzuki finished 3 laps in front of the competition in the 4 hour event. Vesrah Suzuki started the season on the 2006 GSX-R1000 endurance bike they won the championship on last season. Since the GSX-R1000 for 2007 is all new, Mark Junge and Chris Ulrich started a second team from the back of the grid on the new bike to get some endurance time, and do a couple of pit stops to test the teams new quick change swing arm. They pulled off at the end of the 2 hour mark while in 2nd overall, to let the Vesrah crew concentrate on the #1bike.

Vesrah Suzuki's second race of the season was in Birmingham, AL at the beautiful Barber Motorsports Park. Barber in the past has been a place that anything can happen. It is hard on riders and equipment during the 6 hour event. The Vesrah Suzuki team took the lead from the start and never looked back, winning the event by 3 laps.

The latest race was held in Salt Lake City's Miller Motorsports Park. This new track was the only racetrack that the Vesrah Suzuki team was beaten in 2006. The Vesrah team was looking forward to winning at this track, but knew it would be a tough place to get the job done with all the fast locals and AMA teams testing for the weekend. The race was tough with Vesrah Brake sponsored AMA team Matsushima Suzuki putting up a good fight, but fast pit stops and consistent riders worked out in the end. Vesrah Suzuki won by 4 laps.

Vesrah Suzuki has a 38 point lead in the overall standings, and the next race is June 28th to July 1st at Road Atlanta Cycle Jam.
